The Charles County Economic Development Department and the Charles County Chamber of Commerce last week launched a new GIS-enabled website to inform customers about local businesses’ operating status.
Residents can search by business type, location, and other relevant criteria. A map is also available to show the business locations with their services, hours, websites, and other additional information.
Charles County-based businesses are encouraged to add their business by clicking “Add a Business” at the top right side of the page as well as add their website URL, social media information, hours, contact information, take-out status, etc. Once added, the business will show up in a user search on a Charles County map. This website is free to register and access.
According to a press release:
“We hope this will be a very beneficial tool for both businesses and residents as Charles County moves forward with Maryland’s Roadmap to Recovery,” said EDD Director Darréll Brown. “We’re pleased with the number of businesses who have added their information to the site so far, and we hope to see many more.”
Charles County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bonnie Grady said, “The Chamber supports Charles County businesses of all sizes. The partnership with the Economic Development Department provides an additional resource to businesses and residents along with the other tools already available on the Chamber’s website, at www.CharlesCountyChamber.org.”
