Frederick Charter Review Commission Sets Deadline for Recommendations

The Frederick County Charter Review Commission has set a deadline of Sunday, December 1, 2019, to receive Frederick County Charter recommendations.

The Charter Review Commission, established by the Frederick County Council, ensures that the Charter is clear, addresses the needs of contemporary government, and remains a functional, working document that effectively outlines the framework for the efficient operation of County government.

According to a press release:

Under Council Resolution 19-09, the Charter Review Commission’s final report with recommendations to the Frederick County Council is due on or before February 28, 2020. In order to be able to fully review, study and workshop items and meet the Commission’s mandated deadline, any recommendations or suggestions made to the Commission after December 1, 2019, will not be considered.
