Question: Did you know that Gaithersburg in Montgomery County is ranked the most diverse city in America?
It’s true! Gaithersburg ranked #1 for ethno racial diversity, #2 for social class diversity, #84 for household diversity, and #216 for economic diversity. Its aggregate score of 70.90 across these four metrics earned Gaithersburg the #1 ranking in the country for the second time by Wallethub, an online financial resource and services website for individuals and businesses. It was also ranked #1 in the Small City category for communities with populations under 100,000.
The first six of the top ten most diverse cities in the Small City category are in Maryland, including Gaithersburg, Silver Spring, Germantown, Frederick, Rockville and Waldorf.
