MACo would like to thank Potomac Edison, a FirstEnergy Company, for sponsoring a VIP Table at the Inaugural Banquet and the two-page center spread in the program at MACo’s Winter Conference, December 7-9, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, Maryland. The Inaugural Banquet is the highlight of the conference as our new Board of Directors is installed and we celebrate our public service, best practices, and legislative award winners. Traditionally, the Governor installs the Board and addresses the audience.
Potomac Edison is proud to provide reliable electric service to 385,000 customers. This includes about 260,000 Maryland customers in all or parts of Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Howard, Montgomery and Washington counties, and 125,000 customers in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Potomac Edison has about 500 employees to serve its 5,184-square-mile service area. Its $1.6 billion in assets includes 2,134 miles of transmission lines and more than 16,000 miles of distribution lines.
