Former Senator Rich Colburn Lands Job at Department of Agriculture

A July 22, 2015, Star Democrat article announced that former Eastern Shore state senator Richard Colburn has started a new job as an emergency management administrator for the Maryland Department of Agriculture.  From the article:

Colburn, 65, started working for the Maryland Department of Agriculture as its administrator for emergency management shortly after leaving his position as Federalsburg’s town manager in May.

His position with MDA puts him in charge of emergency management projects, including the department’s Continuity of Operations Plan, contracts and emergency preparedness.

Colburn was the Federalsburg town manager for 24 years and was a state senator for even longer, representing the Mid-Shore in Annapolis for 28 years.

Colburn lost the 2014 Republican primary and his District 37 seat was won by former Mid-Shore Delegate Addie Eckardt.
