The Maryland Economic Development and Business Climate Commission convened for a full day of research and inquiry on July 22 in Annapolis, and reviewed detailed information on the state’s tax structure, revenue estimating practices, and budget process. The Commission is slated to continue its work through the year to identify areas for increasing Maryland’s competitiveness.
The materials presented to the Commission offer a comprehensive and valuable resource to anyone interested in the underlying elements of Maryland’s state and local fiscal structures. MACo thanks the Department of Legislative Services for providing electronic copies for distribution here to county officials and other readers.
