Kent County Commissioners approved the county’s fiscal 2015 budget during their meeting on June 11.  The $45 million budget is $1.8 million higher than the prior year and keeps tax rates the same.

As reported by MyEasternShoreMD:

Taxes are unchanged at $1.022 per $100 assessed value of property and $2.555 per $100 assessed value for public utilities.

Water and sewer rates are $267.83 per quarter for water and sewer service; $110.11 per quarter for water only; and $157.72 per quarter for sewer only.

Vacant lot charges are half of the normal rates.
