Recently, Frederick County released its State of the County 2013 report to the public.

In summary, Frederick County reported that:

• structural deficit & long-term fiscal challenges are being addressed
• the yearly county income increased
• the yearly total employment increased
• unemployment continues to remain under 6%
• new housing demands increased
• school construction projects moved up
