MACo’s Winter Conference is scheduled for December 11-13, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland.

The Winter Conference theme is “#CountiesConnect” and will focus on communication, open government, and social media. Sessions will highlight ways to integrate new media and traditional forms of media to increase communication with Maryland’s residents. We’ll talk about information distribution and broadcast messages, but we’ll also learn how county governments can engage with residents and use that engagement to enhance county services.

There will be a mix of “nuts-and-bolts” training sessions for those who are new to social media and more advanced sessions for those looking to improve their current social media and communication strategies.
