As reported in the Baltimore Business Journal, Maryland’s new health exchanges will be hiring an estimated 300 people across the state in the coming months. HealthCare Access Maryland in Baltimore and Healthy Howard are two of the exchanges currently hiring for their work in several counties. As described,
HealthCare Access Maryland in Baltimore and Healthy Howard Inc. in Columbia, as well as their smaller partner organizations, will be hiring a total of 164 workers to help educate people about the state insurance marketplace and get people to enroll in health plans. . . HealthCare Access Maryland will focus on Baltimore City, and Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties. Healthy Howard will work in Howard, Carroll, Frederick, Washington, Allegany and Garrett counties. . .
Healthy Howard and its 12 partners will be hiring 57 people. HealthCare Access Maryland and its 17 partner organizations plan to hire 107 people in the coming months.
