The Local Government Insurance Trust (LGIT) has recently named Ted Zaleski, Carroll County’s Director of Management and Budget, to a seat on its Board of Directors. LGIT is a member-owner trust serving county and municipal governments with insurance and risk management services, and was co-founded by MACo in 1987. Mr. Zaleski will complete a term that runs through June 30 of this year, after which he will be eligible to be re-nominated to fill a full term.
Mr. Zaleski also serves as the president of MACo’s affiliate group of county budget and finance officers, as an officer of the Maryland Government Finance Officers’ Association, and has been a frequent participant in MACo and MdGFOA conferences and events. He joins four other county representatives on the Board, including Worcester County Attorney John “Sonny” Bloxom, Charles County Commissioner Debra Davis, Cecil County Executive Tari Moore, Kent County Administrator Ernie Crofoot. MACo Executive Director Michael Sanderson also serves as an ex-officio member of the LGIT Board.
