CIGNA, a global health service and financial company, has partnered with Hero Health Hire, a coalition of companies that work under the common goal of employing wounded veterans. Every month, thousands of wounded men and women who have been injured during military service transition out of the military only to struggle to find jobs in the civilian workforce. A CIGNA press release states:

To keep pace, an ongoing stream of talented individuals are needed to help meet multi-generational health care needs. The industry also is uniquely positioned to understand and support the needs of the nation’s Wounded Warriors.
Hero Health Hire unites the health care industry with government agencies and the military to eliminate the barriers to employment facing Wounded Warriors, as well as supporting veterans in their transition to new civilian jobs.
