Baltimore County Recognized for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Baltimore County Office of Budget and Finance was recently recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of North American (GFOA) for its financial reporting of the county’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for FY11. The award program is one of the highest forms of recognition in government accounting and reporting.  County Executive and MACo Board Member Kevin Kamenetz stated:

“I have the greatest respect for our Baltimore County finance professionals and the job they do every day to maintain fiscal discipline and secure our financial position, particularly in these difficult financial times.”

GFOA is a nonprofit professional association that serves government finance professional throughout the United States.
