MACo is very pleased to announce that Abbey Duncan has joined our team in the role of Member Services & Events Coordinator!
Abigail “Abbey” Duncan joins the MACo team this week, bringing her experience in event planning and guest relations to support MACo’s members in our Member Services & Events Coordinator role. In that role, she will focus on member engagement and education, coordinating MACo’s affiliate conferences, symposium, and other meetings and events.
Abbey is a western Maryland native, who graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelors of Arts, double-majoring in Communication/Public Relations and Language/Intercultural Studies with a focus in Spanish and a minor in Marketing. Her career has taken her to both Farmington, Pennsylvania, and Orlando, Florida, where she spent time working in events and guest relations for the Nemacolin Resort and the Walt Disney World College Program. Abbey is no stranger to Annapolis, though, having served as a legislative page representing Allegany County.
“We are absolutely thrilled to add Abbey to our team,” said MACo Executive Director Michael Sanderson, “We had many qualified candidates apply for this role, but experience like Abbey’s is hard to beat. I’m sure she’s going to do excellent work on behalf of our members, and help them learn and connect in ways that will ultimately benefit our county residents.”
Please join us in welcoming Abbey!
