St. Mary’s County has launched a new digital governance platform designed to improve public access to meeting materials and strengthen transparency
in local government operations.
The County has transitioned its online meeting document system from the previous BoardDocs platform to the modernized Diligent platform, which serves as a critical access point for residents to review agendas, minutes, and supporting materials for Boards, Commissions, and Committees — including the Commissioners of St. Mary’s County, St. Mary’s County Planning Commission, St. Mary’s County Board of Appeals, and more.
The upgraded system features an ADA-compliant interface, enhanced search functionality, and improved mobile optimization, making it easier for residents to access meeting materials across devices. Faster search capabilities and improved document downloads aim to streamline how community members engage with county business.
The platform serves as a centralized, publicly accessible archive of official meeting documents and is available via the County’s homepage.
As counties continue modernizing digital infrastructure, online access to public records and meeting materials has become a foundational component of transparency and public engagement. ADA-compliant systems and mobile-friendly access tools help ensure that government information is accessible to all residents.
St. Mary’s County’s transition reflects a broader trend among local governments investing in technology that supports open meetings, record access, and user-friendly public interfaces.
