Fun Fact: Enjoy A Traditional German Christmas In This Maryland County

Christmas Village in Baltimore has become a beloved seasonal tradition. Each year the Inner Harbor transforms into a festive replica of a traditional German Christmas market.

Since its opening in 2013, the market has drawn visitors from across Baltimore and throughout Maryland. Modeled after Nuremberg’s historic 16th-century Christkindlesmarkt, Christmas Village features dozens of vendors offering unique gifts, handcrafted goods, and delicious traditional holiday foods.

The market includes both indoor and outdoor areas, along with a carousel, Ferris wheel, heated tent, and a beer garden. In 2024, Timeout, named Baltimore’s Christmas Village “one of the best Christmas markets in the U.S.”

Guests can explore more than 60 wooden vendor booths, each illuminated with thousands of Christmas lights. One of the market’s signature features is the Glühwein Pyramid.  This traditional German mulled wine tower was introduced in 2019 and stands at 30 feet. The custom-made tower was brought over from Germany and has quickly become the centerpiece of the entire event.

Christmas Village is open from now until December 24. For full days and hours visit Christmas Village in Baltimore.
