Maryland’s women leaders celebrate the 54th anniversary of the nation’s first Women’s Caucus and offer a moment to recognize meaningful milestones and reaffirm the work still ahead.
Maryland’s Women Legislators will mark another milestone this winter, celebrating the 54th anniversary of the nation’s first Women’s Caucus at their Annual Opening Reception. The event, hosted by the Women Legislators of Maryland Foundation, Inc., will take place Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the historic Governor Calvert House in Annapolis.
Each year, the Opening Reception brings together women leaders from across state and local government, community partners, and supporters to recognize decades of progress in advancing opportunities for women and families. The Foundation plays a central role in this work, supporting the educational and charitable initiatives of the Women Legislators of the Maryland General Assembly, strengthening community engagement around equity issues, and fostering partnerships that expand access and opportunity statewide.
This year’s celebration offers Marylanders an opportunity to honor that legacy while supporting the continued mission.
