MD Hospital Association To Host Summit on the Future of Health Care

Maryland’s health care landscape is changing fast. Federal policy shifts are reshaping everything from hospital payments to public health programs. Join the Healthy Hospitals. Healthy Communities. Ideas Summit on November 13 to collaborate and plan for what’s next.

There are evolving federal policies on the AHEAD model, Medicaid, and SNAP that are reshaping health care in Maryland. To help local leaders navigate what’s ahead, the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) will host the Healthy Hospitals. Healthy Communities. Ideas Summit on November 13, 2025.

The half-day summit will bring together local elected officials, hospital and nonprofit leaders, and health officials for a conversation on how these shifts will affect Maryland counties and communities. Attendees will gain valuable insight into the future of health care delivery and explore how hospitals and local governments can work together to keep residents healthy.

Key sessions include:

  • An overview of the AHEAD Model and its implications for local health systems and communities.
  • A briefing on federal legislation (H.R. 1) and what changes to Medicaid and SNAP could mean for Marylanders.
  • A panel discussion exploring the local impact of these developments.

The event will highlight the importance of collaboration across all sectors to improve community health outcomes.
