Susan Krebs Sworn in as Carroll County Commissioner

Former state Delegate Susan Krebs has been sworn in as Carroll County’s New Commissioner for District 5

As previously covered on Conduit Street, Krebs was tapped by the Central Committee from a pool of four applicants to fill the seat vacated by Commissioner Ed Rothstein, who resigned at the end of July to lead the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families. She was officially appointed by Governor Wes Moore and sworn in today (Sept. 11) to serve the remainder of Commissioner Ed Rothstein’s term.

From the county press release:

“This unexpected opening in the Commissioner’s office drew me back to my roots in the Freedom community, where there is a lot of activity going on that can impact our entire county.  I look forward to once again representing the best interests of the great citizens we have here in Carroll County.”

Krebs has spent over 20 years dedicated to county service and will continue to do so in her new role.
