As one of the nations oldest states and one of the first 13 original colonies, Maryland has a lot of state and national pride. This year’s 4th of July celebrations are expected to be spectacular throughout the state.
This year’s celebrations not only offer fireworks, but festivals, rides, activities, live music and so much more. Check out some of the bigger 4th of July celebrations happening throughout the counties.
Western Region
- Boonsboro Independence Day Celebration – Fireworks – July 3rd. Music and vendors will start at pm and fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
- Fire on the Mountain Fireworks Display – July 4th. Fireworks set to begin at 9:30 and will light up the sky above Marsh Mountain at Wisp Resort overlooking Deep Creek Lake.
Capital Region
- Six Flags America Presents Coca-Cola July 4th Fest with THREE Nights of Fireworks – July 4, 5, &6. Fireworks will take place at 9:30 p.m. each night in addition to whole day’s worth of rides, slides and entertainment.
- Frederick’s 4th of July – July 4th. Celebrate the largest Independence Day celebration in Frederick County with two stages of entertainment along side family friendly rides, activities, food and fireworks from Noon to Dusk.
- Rockville’s Independence Day Celebration – July 4th. Live music and fireworks display.
- Upper Montgomery County VFD 4th of July Fireworks – July 4. Enjoy music, food, vendors, raffle and fireworks.
Central Region
- Baltimore 4th of July Celebration – July 4th. Enjoy live music and fireworks from 1pm – 10pm.
- Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival – July 4th. Enjoy a family friendly environment at this free festival with local, regional and national music performances, children’s activities, art making and experiences for all ages, and fireworks at night.
- City of Annapolis 4th of July Parade and Fireworks – July 4th. Enjoy a parade through Main Street and fireworks over the water at night.
- Annapolis Fireworks Cruises – July 3 – Enjoy watching fireworks from a variety of cruises in Annapolis.
- Howard County’s July 4th Fireworks – July 4th. Enjoy food trucks, live music and more followed by a 20 minute fireworks show.
Southern Region
- July 4th Celebration – Charles County Fair – July 4th. Enjoy great food, pony rides and live music that lead up to the grand finale with an outstanding Fourth of July Fireworks Show.
- July 3rd Fireworks Celebration – Chesapeake Beach, MD – July 3rd. Come for family activities, food, live music and fireworks show.
- July 4th Fireworks Celebration – Solomons, MD – July 3-6. Enjoy live music and great food all weekend. Fireworks show to take place on July 4th.
Eastern Shore
- Queen Anne’s County Fireworks & Family Fun Celebration – July 2nd. Come celebrate Independence Day with Queen Anne’s County at the newly renovated Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center. The event starts at 6PM and is free. There will be a kids zone, live music, and of course fireworks!
- Rock Hall Fireworks over the Harbor! – July 3rd. Join us for parades and celebratory fireworks at Rock Hall Harbor. Join the celebration afterward for midway games, talent show, and other family-friendly activities.
- St. Michaels Big Band Night & Fireworks – July 5th. Come enjoy the Big Band Night with live music, food and fireworks.
- Berlin Fireworks – July 3rd. Fireworks show begins at dusk.
- Ocean City’s Music and Fireworks Downtown on the Beach & Uptown at Northside Park – July 4th. Two different locations to enjoy the holiday (Uptown and Downtown). Live music and fireworks displays.
