Washington County Board of County Commissioners has announced Maria F. Kramer’s appointment as the new Director of the Office of Grant
Management.
Ms. Kramer brings extensive executive leadership experience and a proven track record in strategic planning, grant administration, and operational management.
Kelcee Mace, Chief Financial Officer for Washington County, expressed enthusiasm for Ms. Kramer’s appointment: “Maria’s experience in strategic planning, grant administration, and community engagement aligns perfectly with the mission of the Office of Grant Management. We are excited to welcome her to the team and are confident in her ability to secure and manage grants that will benefit Washington County and its residents.”
In her new role, Ms. Kramer will oversee the administration of federal, state, and local grant funding, ensuring compliance and maximizing opportunities to support community initiatives and services. Ms. Kramer, a resident of Washington County for more than 30 years, has dedicated her career to organizational growth and community development. Most recently, she served as the CEO of the Hagerstown YMCA, where she managed a $5 million budget, oversaw 190 employees, and collaborated with more than 200 volunteers. Her leadership resulted in increased membership satisfaction and innovative program growth.
Ms. Kramer shared her enthusiasm for the position: “Having lived in Washington County for over three decades, I am deeply committed to supporting its growth and prosperity. I am excited to contribute to the success of our community through effective grant management and strategic partnerships.”
