Shaping a Safer, More Accessible Future for Pedestrians and Cyclists
Garrett County is moving forward with its Pathways & Connections Initiatives, focusing on two important projects: the MD 135 Pedestrian & Bicycle Pathways Concept Design and the Oakland to Herrington Manor Trail Feasibility Study. These projects aim to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists throughout Garrett County.

Interactive Story Map: Community Input Needed
Garrett County invites residents to explore an interactive Story Map outlining the potential routes and key areas of interest. The map offers a way for the community to provide feedback, helping to shape the final designs. Input from residents will play a critical role in guiding these projects to meet community needs.
The County will hold several public engagement sessions, both virtual and in-person, to provide more information and collect feedback from residents.
