Howard to Host School Bus Driver Hiring Fair Tomorrow

Howard County will host a school bus driver hiring fair on Friday, October 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the Wilde Lake High School Cafeteria.

As Howard County and the rest of the state continue to face school bus driver shortages, Howard County Public Schools (HCPS) is hosting a school bus driver hiring fair to fill vacancies and accelerate hiring.

From a HCPS press release:

No registration is required to attend the event. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to bring a resume and complete driving record from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. Masking is required.

Event attendees will have the opportunity to interview with HCPSS bus contractors and potentially be hired on the spot.

Candidates for Howard County school bus drivers should be:

  • At least 21 year of age,
  • Have a clean driving record, and
  • Have a clean criminal record.
