Prince George’s Launches “Beautification” Initiative

Prince George’s County announced a far-reaching, multi-disciplinary “Beautification” initiative targeting litter, waterways, and clean energy.

From County Executive Angela Alsobrooks’s comments at the event:

Keeping our communities clean will make our county a healthier place to live and raise our children, improve our curb appeal, increase our property values, help attract new jobs and tourism dollars, and improve the quality of life for all of our 900,000 residents.

Social media coverage of the event and afterward demonstrates the breadth of, and enthusiasm for, this broad-based effort:

A video of the event is available on the County Executive’s facebook page.
