Dorchester Names New Economic Development Director

Former State and Anne Arundel Workforce Development Head Returns to Eastern Shore to Spearhead Economic Growth in Dorchester

Eastern Shore native Jeff Trice has been named Dorchester County’s new Economic Development Director.

Most recently, Trice was the Director of Business Solutions for the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation where he worked with federal agencies, defense contractors, airlines, and other businesses to expand the county’s employment base.

An experienced business veteran, Trice has launched workforce initiatives, created training programs, and grown jobs at the county, regional and state level throughout Maryland.

According to a press release,

With the approval of the Dorchester County Council, Jeremy Goldman, County Manager, announces that Jeff Trice has accepted the position of Economic Development Director in Dorchester County effective July 1, 2017. Mr. Trice has many years of experience in the Economic Development and Workforce Development field.

The County Manager, Jeremy Goldman, commented, “We are very excited to have someone of Jeff’s caliber joining our economic development team. We look forward to leveraging Jeff’s experience and know how to continue the department’s success in developing and recruiting businesses to all of Dorchester County.”

Mr. Trice commented, “I am both pleased and excited for the opportunity to work with the businesses, citizens and partners in Dorchester County in my new role as Economic Development Director. Being able to have a positive impact on the area in which we all live, work and play is important and something I look forward to.”
