One of the highlights of MACo’s Winter Conference is the Inaugural Banquet & Awards Ceremony. MACo’s new Board of Directors will be installed by Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford, who will also give remarks and thoughts on the upcoming General Assembly Session.
The Association will also celebrate our public service, best practices, and legislative award winners:
- Marilyn J. Praisner Public Service Award (Judge Vitale, Anne Arundel County)
- Recognition Awards (Senators Hershey & McFadden, Delegate Davis, Hilary Ruley)
- County Best Practices (Kent County, Baltimore City)
The Inaugural Ceremony & Awards Banquet is set for Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
The theme of the Winter Conference is “An Ounce of Prevention,” and sessions will focus on how counties can best protect and serve their residents across many different areas of county service.
