Montgomery To Reduce Automated Permit Fee

As reported by the Washington Business Journal, Montgomery County is proposing to reduced its “automated permit fee” which was put in place years ago to fund an upgraded permitting system.  From the article:

The upgrades must be nearing an end, finally, because 15 years later, County Executive Isiah Leggett has announced that the surcharge will be halved to 5 percent, retroactive to July 1. The amendment will be advertised in the September 2013 Montgomery County Register, and temporary regulations will be forwarded to the County Council for implementation on Sept. 17.
