2013 Summer Conference Session – Health Care Reform and Local Health Departments: Opportunities for Achieving Success

Description: The implementation of health care reform is well underway in Maryland with entities now in place to provide consumer assistance and enrollment resources.  Local health departments will play a pivotal role in connecting vulnerable populations and creating better health outcomes. This session will discuss health care reform and how local health departments will provide opportunities for achieving the program goals of increasing access to affordable, quality care, and improving the health of all Marylanders.
