Baltimore City Council Member Helen Holton has been elected as President of the National Association of Counties (NACo) Northeast County Caucus (NECC). NECC is a regional group representing counties in Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Holton, who previously served as the Caucus’ First Vice and acting President, will serve in this position for one year. NECC works to promote a clear understanding of mutual issues among all county officials of the Northeast states and their fellow officials throughout the nation as well.
