Fort Meade has just been named the Cyber Command headquarters for the federal government, reports the Annapolis Capitol.

Cybersecurity and BRAC is the topic of a Wednesday afternoon session at the Summer Conference on August 18. With a new emphasis on Maryland as the “global hub for cybersecurity,” all counties should find this session of particular interest, not only those counties directly associated with BRAC.

Also this morning, the Baltimore Business Journal is reporting on the readiness of Maryland to accommodate all those new BRAC-related workers, with an emphasis on transportation.
