EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

General day-to-day management of Association operations, board of directors and Executive Committee (officers), legislative advocacy. Member of the Local Government Insurance Trust Board of Directors.

LEGISLATIVE DIRECTOR
Andrea Mansfield – amansfield@mdcounties.org
Coordinates MACo’s advocacy and policy efforts in Annapolis. Works on a range of policy areas including business affairs, elections, employee benefits and relations, finance, health, human services, intergovernmental relations, taxes and revenues, transportation and public works. Liaison to affiliates including Administrators, Aging, Engineers, Environmental Health, Health, and Human Services.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Leslie Knapp, Jr. – lknapp@mdcounties.org
Legislative Affairs Areas: education, environment, governmental liability and courts, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, public ethics and information, public safety and corrections. Liaison to affiliates including Attorneys, Corrections, and Planners and Parks and Recreation.

ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE DIRECTOR
Leslie Velasco – lvelasco@mdcounties.org
Financial reporting, personnel issues, liaison to National Association of Counties’ Financial Services Center, general office administration, telecommunications administrator, manager of Summer Conference exhibits.

ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Karen Lowe – klowe@mdcounties.org
Assistant to Executive Director, manages Board of Directors communications, provides support for conference registration logistics, coordinates the publication of MACo directory, database manager.

OUTREACH COORDINATOR
Emily Hollis – ehollis@mdcounties.org
Manages Association’s website, Conduit Street blog, and Courthouse News publication. Facilitates the Corporate Partner Program, and securing sponsors for conferences and events. Coordinates promotional and communication efforts.

MEETINGS & EVENTS COORDINATOR
Virginia White – vwhite@mdcounties.org
Serves as primary coordinator of conferences and events for the Association.  Acts as an integral team member in the advocacy efforts during legislative session of the General Assembly.

POLICY ANALYST
Rodney Cobb- rcobb@mdcounties.orgCovers and advocates on legislative and administrative policy issues. Provides policy research, survey oversight, and coordination with county professional organizations.
