Marylanders Reach NACo Leadership Positions

Following the July NACo Annual Conference in Allegany County, PA, newly installed NACO President Chris Rodgers has appointed three Maryland elected officials to serve in leadership roles within the national association:

Helen Holton, Council Member from Baltimore City, has been reappointed to serve as Chair of the Large Urban Counties Caucus, which also provider her a voting seat on the NACo Board of Directors. Council Member Holton also serves as the President of the Northeast Counties Caucus, a regional organization focusing on needs of this region’s county governments and officials.

Ken Ulman, Howard County Executive, has been reappointed to serve as Vice Chair of NACo’s Committee on Public Health and Healthy Communities. County Executive Ulman also serves as the Maryland representative to the NACo Board of Directors.

Sharon Green Middleton, Council Member from Baltimore City, has been newly appointed to serve as Vice Chair of NACo’s Labor and Employment Steering Committee.
